ALL INCLUSIVE VACATIONS - HOW TO GET WHAT YOU WANT

It’s finally here – you’ve scrimped and saved, and now you’re ready to buy that dream vacation. You’ve read the brochures and decided that an all inclusive resort will offer you the best vacation money can buy.
But what happens when you arrive and realize that the slow-paced, quiet inn just doesn’t jive with your active lifestyle? Or that the only golf course is miles away? Or your all inclusive includes plenty of nightlife but is short on the massages and the quiet beach time you dreamed of?

It can happen to anybody – you see a brochure depicting happy, well-rested vacationers and figure that every all inclusive vacation offers that same experience. But when you arrive, you realize that each resort has a distinct clientele and personality that may or may not fit your vision of the perfect vacation.

Planning is Important

So what’s a savvy traveler to do? Simple. A little pre-planning will go a long way toward getting you the dream vacation at an all inclusive resort of your dreams. Ron Luczak, Director of Platinum Services of The Travel Team, Inc., notes that good travel agents know the resorts they recommend. “We pride ourselves that our agents read about and travel to these places.” In fact, he says, “Someone in our office has recently been to most areas that a client might consider.”

Finding the Best Match

The fact is, there really is an all inclusive for everyone, but you have to know both the resort and your personality in order to find the best match. And while travel agents can give you a good idea about the resorts, they simply can’t read your mind or know what would make the vacation perfect for you. If you want a great vacation, you have to do a little homework ahead of time so you can give your agent a good sense of what you are looking to experience.

Remember, all inclusive resort vacations are a great, cost-effective way to get the most out of your vacation budget, but a family vacation or a couple’s getaway can be a major purchase. And while budget is a great place to start when choosing and all inclusive vacation, it’s important not to stop there. The more information you can give your travel agent, the better they can match you with the perfect resort.
